Claudia Donald

MACP, RCC

Hi, I'm Claudia!

Supporting children, youth, couples, and families through life’s changes, challenges, and relationships. Sometimes families aren’t sure where to start. Maybe your child is struggling at school, you’re trying to understand how to better support their needs, co-parenting has become difficult, or you’re feeling stuck in your relationship. Sometimes you simply know that things feel harder than they should. I’m here to help you make sense of what’s happening and figure out the next steps together.

I believe that counselling should feel like a collaborative conversation, not another place where you’re being told what you “should” be doing. Every person and family is different, and my role is to understand your unique situation, listen without judgment, and help you find strategies that actually fit your life.I’m a counsellor, teacher, coach, spouse, parent, co-parent, and step-parent, and those roles have given me a lot of lived experience alongside my professional training. I understand that family life can be complicated, messy, rewarding, and sometimes all of those things at once. I bring that real-life perspective into my work and genuinely value meeting people where they are.

I graduated with distinction from Yorkville University with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and also hold a Bachelor of Education from the University of Victoria. I’m particularly passionate about psychoeducation, family and couples concerns, communication, and youth mental health.

I support families navigating a range of experiences, including school concerns and advocacy, divorce and co-parenting, parenting challenges, relationship difficulties, and the many transitions that come with raising children and supporting young people.

My goal is for you to leave counselling feeling heard, understood, and more equipped to move forward. We’ll work together to better understand what’s happening, identify what can change, and build practical tools to support you and your family.

Outside of counselling, I’m happiest spending time with my family, getting outside, and enjoying the everyday moments that make life feel full. I know that finding the right counsellor is a personal decision, and I want families to feel comfortable choosing the person who feels like the right fit for them.
